We know the University is a large place. We know that there are enough Chinese, for instance, that you could almost stay in Austin for years and not get to know an American. We are here to be that bridge. Our Mission The International Student Connection is a registered UT student Organization. It is composed of students who desire to help the international student community of UT by connecting students together for the purpose of mutual support, to help international students become connected with Americas who wish to help them learn about the US, and to provide a variety of services to international students. Our desire is to function through a "student centered" approach that offers programs and services in response to the needs of international students and their families, treating them with dignity, compassion and sensitivity. As we make contact with international students, we hope to develop relationships that communicate mutual respect, genuine cultural interest, and a heart-centered desire to honor one another. Because ISC is dedicated to providing services and friendship to international students, everyone will benefit. International students will receive much needed help, while American volunteers will experience the diversity of culture while gaining important knowledge about the countries where international students live.
